Our Story
Waterman's Nursery was originally started by Edward Waterman back in the mid 1990's. His love of nature and the outdoors was matched only by his understanding and knowledge of them. He was a Master Gardener, had a degree in Horticulture from SUNY Morrisville, specialized in native plants and loved cottage gardens.
I am Rebecca Waterman. I fell in love with plants when I was 12 and I have many happy memories of gardening with my Grandmother. I began working in this field back in 1996 and earned a bachelors degree in Horticulture from SUNY Cobleskill. I met Eddie back in 2000 and married him on Earth Day 2001. We met in a greenhouse outside of Fulton, and it was as if we dreamed the same dreams. Together, we built Waterman's Nursery into the successful business it is today. I lost Eddie to cancer in June of 2018, and with the help of my family I continue this dream of ours. I now know first hand, the therapeutic nature of gardening and the healing power of plants. |
